As a Content Coordinator at Ferguson Media, Zakes brings a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and storytelling to every project. With a strong background in marketing communication, he specialises in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, and campaign planning, crafting narratives that resonate and drive meaningful engagement.
Before joining Ferguson Media, Zakes served as a Communications and Marketing Intern at the Empire Partner Foundation (EPF). During this time, he honed his skills in brand storytelling, digital content development, and campaign coordination. He contributed to key initiatives and brands such as the Township Development Model (TDM) and the EPF Tech Fund, helping shape and communicate their impact across multiple platforms.
His communication journey also includes his role as a Supplementary Instruction Facilitator at North-West University's Centre for Teaching and Learning (2022–2023), where he strengthened his leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while supporting student learning.
Today, Zakes is dedicated to producing high-quality content, coordinating creative workflows, and advancing the Ferguson Media brand through compelling and insight-driven communication. He is passionate about shaping stories that inspire, connect, and create lasting impact.
